What is the membership period?
The membership period runs for 1 calendar year (Starting on 1st April until the end of March). New members joining after 1st January are deemed full members until the following year end.
How do I become a member?
Join our club via our British Cycling Club Page or Click ‘Buy Now’ on the required membership
type below and follow the procedure on the British Cycling payment gateway.
Please note a £1.00 application fee is charged by British Cycling and is non-refundable
Do I need to be a paid up member of British Cycling?
To be a member of DCC, you do not have be a member of British Cycling.
Do I need third party insurance?
All members must have third party liability insurance in case of a claim by a driver or another cyclist during a club event or activity. Third party insurance cover is included as part of membership to Cycling UK; or via British Cycling’s Member and Premier membership options, formerly known as Silver and Gold membership respectively. Please check their documents for levels of coverage to make sure that you are appropriately covered for cycling activities organised by the club.

First and second claim membership
All members of DCC are treated ‘first claim’, meaning that you have the same rights as any other member. We love all our members equally and are happy for people that are members or race for another club. You will obviously need to observant of British Cycling, CTT or LVRC’s rules on racing for one club only.
Can I try you out first?
You are welcome to join us for up to 2 club group rides without having to being a member.
